CHICKSPIRIT’S ADVENTURES AT COMIC-CON

August 6, 2009 | By: kai

CHICKSPIRIT’s first visit to Comic-Con was a blast.  I went with Nica, our marketing maven, to launch the CHICK web series and our alternate reality game Punk the Dress.

Being Comic-Con virgins, we were a little overwhelmed when we arrived Friday but despite walking around wide eyed and looking a little lost at times, we had a great time.

With no booth or any real connections we decided to go guerilla style and hand out postcards.

If you like the postcard you can download it here.

A big thank you to Terence for letting us stash some gear at his booth.  Be sure to check out his funny animated web series, Orlando’s Joint.

And another big thank you to Susan Arnout Smith, an amazing writer, for putting us up in her beautiful home and feeding us a grand breakfast before our busy Saturday.

Overall I have to say the people who go to Comic-Con are the nicest folks.  Everyone is really passionate about whatever drew them to the event.  I can’t wait to go back next year bigger and better.

A big what up to Hilton, Kia and Karina who appear in the video.  And an extra special hug sent out to Kiki, Courtney and Mike who were giving out free hugs.  They were three of the many that gave me the BIGGEST HUG EVER!!!!

Oh, almost forgot.  We planted some mini-dare cards around San Diego.  I’ve put some visual clues in the montage of our Comic-Con video so if you live in the SD area go on a little treasure hunt and see if you can find one.

CHICKSPIRIT loves Comic-Con!!!!
